Principle Approach® Resources and Noah Plan® Product Guide
How Do I Begin Using The Noah Plan?
Just starting with The Noah Plan? Here we have provided a step-by-step guide to get you started and lead you through the process of deciding what books and resources you need.
My husband and I had this beautiful curriculum for several months before receiving The Noah Plan Homeschool Companion, which gave me the courage to dive into its wonderful contents. As we studied The Noah Plan Self-Directed Study, many evenings have been dedicated to cleansing our secular school training. In this time, my children have so desired to see what Mom and Daddy are doing that I began reading the lessons aloud to them. They now beg for lessons! While it has been intimidating to embark on such a life-changing education, I know that my children will learn to love learning with this curriculum! Thank you for showing us how we can better serve our Savior by truly raising our children in the way that they should go.

The Foundation for American Christian Education is dedicated to supporting and equipping schools and home educators. We have provided FIVE basic steps to begin using The Noah Plan.
Step 1: Order the introductory DVD and consider the valuable investment of your time
Step 2: Order the Principle Approach Foundational Set and begin The Noah Plan Self-Directed Study.
Step 3: Order The Noah Plan Curriculum Guide Package.
Step 4: Order books by grade level or combine grades in a homeschool classroom
Step 5: Teacher Training in the Principle Approach
Step 1: Order the introductory DVD: Putting It All Together and Getting Started
This DVD illustrates the method and philosophy of the Principle Approach, details a sample lesson and unit study, and explains how all of the resources work together. In considering the financial investment, you will find that The Noah Plan curriculum will cost less than many other curricula on the market. Your significant savings is made possible because the two core curriculum packages include books for kindergarten through twelfth grade. Consider the valuable investment of your time in your children’s education! Because the Principle Approach is a unique method of teaching, the teacher must invest their time to learn this method and customize it to fit the unique needs of their family or school. The teacher continues to learn throughout their student’s education. We call this concept “The Teacher as Learner.”
Step 2: Order The Principle Approach Foundational Set. The set includes five books:
- The Noah Plan Self-Directed Study in the Principle Approach

It is fundamental in preparing the educator—it reveals a refreshing new perspective on learning and reasoning—and will become a frequently referenced resource. The following Foundational Books are used throughout this study.
- An American Dictionary of the English Language
Noah Webster published the first dictionary of American English in 1828. This facsimile of the original is an imperative resource for daily study. Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines words according to their meaning in the founding generation (making it essential to understanding

The Principle Approach inspires children and parents to love learning and be lifelong learners. The investment you make today will bless your children, and your children’s children. To quote the great author G. K. Chesterton, “Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another. Whatever the soul is like, it will have to be passed on somehow, consciously or unconsciously . . . It is . . . the transfer of a way of life."
