Our Team

A native Virginian, Carole serves as president of the Foundation for American Christian Education in Chesapeake, Virginia, faithfully carrying out the mission of the founders, Verna Hall and Rosalie Slater. She is the directing editor of the kindergarten through twelfth grade Principle Approach^â curriculum now published as The Noah Plan^â. The school Carole founded in 1980 to fulfill the Principle Approach vision in every subject, StoneBridge School in Chesapeake, Virginia, is now the national demonstration school for the Foundation for American Christian Education, and serves as a practical model to schools across the nation and the world. Carole continues to inspire a new generation of scholars and teachers as the editor of The Journal of the Foundation for American Christian Education and the Principle Approach Education newsletter, and by speaking her insights in defense of liberty and our God-given role as citizens, parents, teachers, and scholars. Her trademark lecture and article, “The Christian Idea of the Child,” describes the Biblical concept of childhood; Carole has guided thousands of teachers and parents by teaching courses and through her book The Noah Plan English Language Curriculum Guide. Carole also serves on the boards of StoneBridge School and the Foundation for American Christian Education. She and her husband, John, are parents of a son and two daughters, and they have seven grandchildren.  

John W. Adams

John Adams serves FACE as Chief Financial Officer and Business Manager, working closely with Dr. Carole Adams while directing and managing the Foundation’s operations and budget. His many years’ experience in business and with FACE give him insight into the many areas that must run smoothly to enable the most lasting, significant, positive impact on our children, our nation, and our world.

Melissa Davidson

Melissa serves as Sales Coordinator to our valued customers including homeschool families, bookstores, and schools across the country and abroad. Having worked in a Principle Approach school, she uses that experience as she ably serves as a liaison to schools helping to facilitate teacher training in Principle Approach methodology and philosophy. Melissa advises customers on Principle Approach resources, places and processes their orders.  Contact Melissa Davidson.

Rachel Lyons

Rachel has worked with the Foundation since Summer 2000. She serves in marketing and oversees the network and technical services. Rachel creates e-mails, ads, layouts and other special multi-media projects like Rosalie Slater's memorial tribute. Sarah H. Perkins

Sarah has worked with the Foundation since Spring 2004. As the Foundation’s managing editor, she edits and oversees production from manuscript to the final printed book form, handles the Foundation’s copyrights and permissions, and works on teams focusing on grants and Web sites. Sarah also acts as a curriculum advisor; she assists customers placing orders.  Contact Sarah H. Perkins.

Bill Trower

Bill, FACE’s Warehouse Manager, ensures that all orders are accurately, expediently packaged and mailed to our customers as soon as possible. He also inventories all the Foundation’s products and books, managing the supply, and supports the sales staff as necessary. Contact Bill Trower.
